I have to say, I think Margaritaville Resort in Biloxi, MS just may be one of the most FUN family friendly resorts ever! If you know my husband and I, then you know that we are big on family time. We love love love family vacays, long or short we like to make the days together count. So naturally, my last week of maternity leave we wanted to take a quick weekend trip to a fun place. We decided to hit up Margaritaville Resort Biloxi. We had heard amazing things, but honestly, all of the positive reviews didn’t do it justice – we had the most incredible time ever. I’m literally trying to figure out when we will be going back.
A ton of people asked how we liked Margaritaville and would we recommend it? Our answer, we had the time of our lives and wholeheartedly recommended it – especially to those with families and here's why.
GUEST EXPERIENCE
I can definitely appreciate quality customer service. There is nothing better than being greeted with a positive attitude and a smile. All of the employees at Margaritaville were super polite and eager to help us throughout our entire experience at the resort. In my opinion, the employees set the tone and all the happy guests followed suit. My husband and I both observed how happy all the guests were. It was truly refreshing to be surrounded by other families who were truly enjoying themselves just as much as we were.
The concierge was extremely helpful in aiding us with things to do on and off the resort property. Let me just tell you, there is a family pool party that happens every Friday, we had the BEST time and Maddy danced the night away. It was so amazing to see people with their families just enjoying those simple moments – making memories that will last a life time.
You know what else? They offered FREE valet and FREE parking. Do you know how hard that is to come by these days? Haha. That was a win in my book, not to mention it didn’t take 44733790 years to get our SUV. They were prompt and quick.
ACTIVITIES
There is literally something to do for everyone at this resort! We spent a lot of our time between the Escape Family Entertainment Center and the Water Playground. Escape is 55,000 square foot arcade that is literally a dream for kids and adults of all ages. Maddy couldn’t get enough, and if I’m being honest, neither could my husband. Haha He’s a big kid at heart. Escape also offers LandShark Bar and Grill which is an indoor/outdoor space, a perfect spot to the game or take in the Mississippi views. There is also the Sweet Shack, an on-site ice-cream parlor! Need I say more?
The Water Playground was great too! It is located on the rooftop and offers great amenities for adults and kids alike. The lazy river and water slides were a personal favorite. I loved that the water slides were kid-friendly, even Maddy was able to enjoy it! The playground is also equipped with a splash pad and rope traverse to keep the fun going. This playground area is exclusive to resort guest and does require a wristband to enter. They also provide clean towels at the Towel shack which was great for us! Just like Escape, The Playground has a bar – The 5 o’Clock Somewhere Bar overlooking the pool area and the Gulf Coast. And OH. MY. GOSH. The atmosphere was nice, but the food and drinks were EVERYTHING!
FOOD
The food options were endless at the resort! The bars all had full menus so we ate at each of those for lunch. We dined at Doe’s Eat Place both nights for dinner, the steak was so good we had to go back for more. The Margaritaville restaurant was also a hit – it’s a must for sure!
We couldn’t leave good ole Biloxi without hitting up the Brick and Spoon brunch spot! It was the soft grand opening and the food was to die for. Let me tell you, those grits are something SERIOUS and I literally am still dreaming about the bacon. Haha. Not to mention, the venue itself is the cutest spot. We will definitely be returning soon!
Our time to leave came pretty quickly, I guess the saying is true, “time flies when you’re having fun.” We had an absolute blast and it was so great to see our entire family together enjoying each other without distractions. I’ve already said that we will be visiting Margaritaville Resort very soon! If you are looking for a fun, kid friendly getaway for all family members to enjoy, Margaritaville Resort is the place for you!
