The summer days are winding down and my 30th birthday is getting closer and closer. I am trying not to freak out and have a mid-life crisis, but seriously, how have 30 years of my life gone by already? Lately, I’ve been paying more attention to my skin. I realize that the older I get, the more important it is that I take care of my skin. Because after all, our skin is our best accessory, right? So far, I’ve been blessed to have minimal fine lines, wrinkles, and sun spots, but I’ve always struggled with dry skin from head to toe. My goal is to prolong the youthfulness of my skin while attacking the dry skin issues head on. I’ll do whatever it takes to get my skin as smooth as my baby’s bottom. haha

I’ve been a lover of the Aveeno brand for longer than I can remember. I’ve naturally always favored their product lines because they have always kept it simple and produced high quality products with affordable prices. Last month, my husband and I were granted the opportunity to brunch with Aveeno at the Mosquito Supper Club in New Orleans for Essence Festival and it was literally A DREAM! We were able to connect with some amazing people and learn all about what it means to #GetSkinHappy. It’s definitely true that when your skin looks good, you feel good. I’ve been using the Aveeno Skin Relief Body Wash Nourishing Coconut, Skin Relief 24HR Moisturizing Lotion, and Repairing Cica Hand and Foot Masks to keep my wellness journey going, and I have never felt better. The older I get, the more that moisture leaves my skin, so these products have made a huge impact on my life, especially in keeping my skin alive and glowing.

Every evening, my husband takes the kids and I get about 20 minutes of me-time (woohoo) to bathe and relax. I have a simple whole-body skincare routine. I bathe with the Aveeno Body Wash, then follow with the Moisturizing Lotion all over my body. After that is complete, I end the regimen with hand and foot masks. I mean, who doesn’t like soft hands and feet? Haha I know my husband certainly appreciates it.

Aveeno Skin Relief 24HR Moisturizing Lotion

I am a sucker for a good lotion. I always keep lotion on-hand everywhere I go because with every hand wash, I have to apply lotion afterwards. It is certainly one of my favorites because it keeps my skin hydrated for 24 hours following application. This lotion is made with soothing oat, natural shea butter, and emollients, which make my skin feel amazing. I hear my skin thanking me each time that I use it! Haha.

Aveeno Skin Relief Gentle Scent Body Wash Nourishing Coconut

This, too, is made with oat and emollients. It smells great and I’m confident that each time I use it, it smells even better. Unlike some other body washes that I’ve used, I find that this one doesn’t strip my skin of its moisture – it actually leaves my skin feeling rejuvenated. Although it is lightly scented, it not only smells incredible, but it's also gentle on even sensitive skin types.

Aveeno Repairing Cica Hand and Foot Masks

These hydrating masks are life. After just 10 minutes of using these masks on my hands and feet, I’ve noticed a difference. Prior to using the masks, my hands and heels were extremely dry. The masks actually restore the moisture to help your hands and feet look smoother and FEEL even softer. The best part is that no rinsing is required!

Needless to say, these products are exactly what my nearly 30-year-old self needs. They are extremely effective, and I’ve noticed that my skin has been glowing differently. If I were you, I would certainly find a way to incorporate these products into your overall wellness routine, your current and future self will thank you. Each of these products can be found at Walmart.

Thanks so much for reading and subscribing!
