Natural Skin Care Regimen: Road to Flawless Skin

Taking care of your skin means something different to everyone. Depending on a person’s age, skin complexion, and skin type, how we need to take care of our skin varies greatly. I can remember a conversation I had with a good friend a couple of years ago about what type of skin products we were using and what our daily anti-aging regimen was like. I told her how I thought my skin was doing just fine with the sole use of good ole soap and water. She laughed and told me it was probably a good idea to start an anti-aging regimen, and I laughed. However, the more I thought about it, the more sense it made. Prevention is key. Most anti-aging regimens are designed to slow down the aging process, and it is much more difficult to reverse aging that has already taken place. So for the past 2 years, I have tried a ton of different skin products and I am so glad I have FINALLY found something that works amazingly on my skin.

My skin type is combination with my most dry areas being in my T-zone area. Fortunately enough, I have never had acne-prone problematic skin, but I have for sure battled with dry skin, especially in winter months. There have been instances when I have applied a compact powder and instead of a smooth finish, I found flake dry skin! I searched high and low for products that were all-natural and actually worked for me, and finally, I got it figured out. I am so excited to share.

Life as full time wife, mom, with a career, makes for a pretty busy life. That means my mornings don’t consist of long pampering morning skin care regimens, I am actually lucky most mornings to get my face washed and use a moisturizer. Once I had my daughter, I realized that a simple, yet effective regimen was vital!

Morning Menu:

Cleanser: I usually start off with wetting my face and neck with warm water. I take my favorite cleanser, Q Cleanser ($29.95), and apply a small amount to my finger tips and massage gently into my skin. I then thoroughly rinse it off, then go on to moisturizer. What I love most about this cleanser is that it has a dual effect – it cleanses and tones striping impurities leaving your skin with a nice natural glowing finish.

Moisturizer: I follow cleansing with a moisturizer called Q Day Cream ($39.95) that’s changed the game for my skin! I make sure my face and neck are completely dry before application, then apply a generous amount. This moisturizer is so amazing because it is safe and effective on ALL skin types, even my dry skin. The properties of Q Day Cream include, but are not limited to, deeply moisturizing and soothing skin, diminishing fine lines and wrinkles, improving skin balance.

Evening Menu:

Cleanser: Repeat morning cleansing step.

Mask: I only using a mask 2-3 times per week. I follow my nightly cleanse with a clarifying mask, Q Mask ($59.95). It is most effective when applied to dry, clean skin. One of its ingredients is hyaluronic acid, which is a moisturizer capable of holding 1,000 times its weight in moisturizer. Aside from the Q Mask moisturizing properties, it also exfoliates and smooths the skin, restores healthy skin, and also helps eliminate fine lines and wrinkles.

Moisturizer: I use an evening moisturizer called Q Night Cream ($39.95). There is a special ingredient blend in this particular moisturizer that provides all-night hydration and repairs skin while you sleep.

As most of you know, what you ingest is just as important in your skin care regimen as what you put on the outside. I try to drink 64 oz. of water at minimum every single day, and I take a multi-vitamin (Q-Max) that I believe makes a huge difference. When each of these products are used together, they work synergistically to help reverse any signs of aging for a more vibrant and youthful complexion. I can now comfortably walk out of my home without concealer, foundation, and even powder because of this regimen. I can honestly say I am taking preventative measures and am being proactive in taking care of my skin so that I can refrain from the horror of fine lines and wrinkles for as long as possible. I feel that this daily regimen is simple enough for everyone to use it and benefit from it, and I hope that you are able to incorporate parts of, if not all, of this regimen into your daily routine! Here’s to healthy skin!
