I’m not sure if most of you know, but Madison Kate has been co-sleeping with us off and on since she was born. She’s now 3, so it’s time to nip that in the bud haha. We decided to transform her space from a “nursery” to a big girl room. The thought was that if she helped us with the entire process, that she would fall in love with it and want to sleep in her own bed! She is absolutely IN LOVE with her bed, but as for her sleeping in her own bed, well the verdict is still out on that.

I’m SO excited to share the first phase of her big girl room transformation! We’ve done everything from painting the walls, to adding recessed lighting, and most importantly, we’ve gotten her the COOLEST loft bed with stairs from Maxtrix Kids. It has a SLIDE on it, how epic is that!
The search for the perfect bed was tough, but as soon as I found Maxtrix Kids I was sold. They have a ton of super cool options, but we ended up going with the Low Loft Twin Bed with Stairs and Slide, thanks to the help of their staff. Although she is tall for her age, she’s only 3, so I felt this was the best option because it’s high enough for her to have the full slide experience, but not TOO high. Eventually, we will transform this low loft bed into a mid bunk bed with stairs and slides for both of the girls to enjoy once Olivia Grace is a little older!
We also ended up getting the toy chest + storage bins from Maxtrix Kids. The girls have SO many toys, so I finally have decent size storage for all of them! It’s a stylish storage option too. The toy chest actually opens to ways, from the top and from the bottom, so if you’re limited on space, you’re able to stack them to maximize the space you’re working with.
Maxtrix Kids definitely did not disappoint – my expectations were met. The delivery was quick, after the order was placed, it took about 3 weeks to arrive. Once it was delivered, it was pretty easy to assemble as well. The design is seamless and well thought out – the storage on the stairs is GENUIS. I am also huge on customer service, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and they played a vital role in getting Madison’s room in order!
This goes without saying, but Madison LOVES her room. When she first saw it, the first thing she said was, “I’ve always wanted a slide in my room mommy!” She finally has a place in our home that she enjoys just relaxing and playing in, and Olivia is LOVING it too! Mission accomplished!
